Grandparents

My last grandparent died last night. My Grandma May has been in declining health now for awhile. Earlier this week she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. While there her kidneys shut down (she's had kidney disease for several years). She's the last of my grandparents to die. My other grandma died just this past February. I'm sure it's hard for my parents to lose both their moms in such a short time.

I'll be headed out to the funeral in the next couple days. I can't really make flight arrangements until I know more details. I'm hoping to make the trip as quick as possible since Kevin has to stay home with the kids. His parents just left for Vegas yesterday and we don't have anyone else to leave the kids with. I don't want to take them along because it's a long trip and I don't think they're ready to attend a funeral, so I don't see the point in having them travel so far to not really do anything anyway. So, I'll be going on my own. I would prefer Kevin come with me, but it's much more important for him to stay with the kids.
