Butt String

It's been such a wonderful morning so far around here. My house reeks of poop... cat poop to be exact. Mmmm, yummy. :x It all starts with an overwhelming smell of cat poop. Kevin and I are poking fun at Ramble because we know he's the one in the litterbox. So, Kevin peeks around the corner and immediately says I need to get out there.

We keep our litterbox in the laundry room. When I look in, I see poo smeared all over the floor and Ramble sitting there. But he doesn't sit for long, instead he starts turning circles, like he's chasing his tail. Except it's not exactly his tail he is chasing... it's butt string. If you've ever had a household pet, particularly a cat, I'm sure you know what butt string is.

Ramble has a pretty long butt string. And as he's spinning himself around the string is hitting the litterbox, and my washer and dryer. And as it hits those things, it's leaving smelly poo smears. Niiiice. So I run to get the scissors, because the only thing you can do for butt string, is trim it off and wait for nature to take it's course. Kevin catches Ramble and I go in for the trim. But Ramble is a bit freaked out by all this and he leaps from Kevin's too-light grip. This makes the butt string smear around my ankle. Kevin catches him again and I get the job done. During all this the entire string comes out, which is a good thing, at least the ordeal is over.

Ramble runs off and immediately does a butt drag across my family room leaving yet another smear. I get that cleaned up and turn to Ramble. It's a good thing I bought some kitty wipes when I thought I was allergic to the guy. I used several giving him a good cleaning to destink him. And I just finished cleaning the laundry room.

Oh, the joys of owning a pet!
