I thought this week would fly by. Ava has had "bug camp" this week at the Nature Center and I thought for sure that taking her and picking her back up would just make the days speed by... by the time we'd get home and eat lunch the day would be half way done. I was so wrong though! I just told Kevin that this has been the longest week ever and today has been the slowest. I thought about why and it hit me, ding! lightbulb moment, my kids aren't fighting! I'm not passing the day going from squabble to squabble.
Seriously, my two have been at each other All. Summer. Long. Sure they play together great at times, but man oh man can they fight! Maddux scratches and throws things and Ava pushes and knocks his toys around.
I think they're not fighting because they haven't been together 24/7. The fighting really ramped up this summer, but they were suddenly together all day long. Ava being gone every morning I guess was just what they needed. A little bit of time apart makes them play together better.
Now if only I could make myself productive during the peace and quiet!

it's been kindof the same around here. i think not being able to get outside because of the heat is taking it's toll too.
Same here. I have had quiet afternoons with Jacob at Bug Camp. Brady is napping. I find myself just sitting. No TV. Just sitting. Aahhh.
Sorry it's been a long week. Emily sure has enjoyed bug camp, has Ava? Emily told me that today she dried her underwear in the hand drier in the bathroom and Ava thought it was hilarious :) Goofy kids :)
Don't worry about being really productive...everything in moderation I say...you deserve a chance to catch your breath.
