So, I've decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. I've recently started reading some friends blogs again and decided to join in on the fun. :)
I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to blog about. The kids mostly, I guess, they are pretty much my whole life right now. So, to start, here's a little fill-in on my kiddos...
Ava: My sweet girl. I can't believe she is 5 years old already! Ava is the sweetest girl. She's very generous and giving, even with Maddux. She's very popular amongst her classmates too. This has caused some troubles, since some of them fight over her and she kind of gets caught in the middle. She's had to learn to speak-up for herself, which is good, but it was sure a hard lesson to learn. Ava is into princesses, littlest pet shop, gymnastics and rollerskating. She's recently learned to ride her bike (with training wheels) and now it's all she wants to do when she's outside. She is learning to read and loves to get new books from the library. She's recently asked for "my own money" so we've started her up a chore chart. As much as she wants money, she sure doesn't like to do her chores to earn it! We're only in our first week and I think she's going to be a tad disappointed by her total this weekend, we'll see if that inspires her to tidy up a bit more after herself!
Maddux: My rambuctious boy. Maddux will be 3 in July. He is such a boy! He loves trains and trucks, balls, swinging on his belly and just running around. He's still quite the momma's boy, but he's demanding independence now too. Maddux is in the beginning stages of potty-training now. He will occasionally sit and go pee, but not with any regularity and he's certainly not requesting it. He's quite a stubborn little man (wonder where that comes from!) so I'm going to have to take it all at his pace for the most part. He's got to be trained by fall though when preschool starts. Maddux loves to play outside... racing his little car down the driveway, poking sticks at things and throwing balls around. He is quite the chatterbox. He is always talking about something. He even talks in his sleep! He's quite the little comedian too and he'll tell a funny made-up story or attempt a knock-knock joke just for the laughs. Well, I guess that's pretty much it for now. Off to water the houseplants....
