My first time to hear one of my kids say "I DON'T LOVE YOU!" :( It was Maddux. He was mad. Mad because 1) the bread I was baking needed more time in the oven, 2) I wouldn't let him have a snack and 3) I wouldn't let him dye easter eggs. All that resulted in an arms crossed over the chest, harrumph and a loud "I DON'T LOVE YOU!" as he stomped off.
Sigh.

It's sad but funny when they do it.
I remember the time Arann said that to me I cry.
oh gosh.. I dread that day those words will come out of their mouths. I have yet to hear it...but know it will come one day. hang in their mommy..once you offer the bread with some warm butter. You will be back in his heart:) Melissa C
I don't know what's worse - "I don't love you" or "I hate you".
In any case... you KNOW he does love you. HUGS!!
The build-up of disappointment for Maddux... they know the power of words already!! Good thing it never lasts!
if your kids don't hate you you're doing something wrong. so, you are officially a terrific mom! way to go!! : )
