Just some randomness for you :)

My favorite toy of the week: Ava's magnetic mosaic tiles. A gazillion little foam pieces backed with magnets. They stick on the magnetic lid and you use them to create a mosaic. The set came with 6 templates, but I quickly got online and downloaded an additional 10 or so. While it's very capable of making a huge mess, I love this toy! It's so peaceful and fun to take a template of little squares with numbers in them and make a masterpiece! Unfortunately for the blog, Ava cleaned up and put away our mosaic before I could get a picture... hey, at least she cleaned it up!



And because I always have a least favorite toy too, here it is too: the bean box. This incredibly messy toy is entirely of my own doing. I mixed up all kinds of dried beans and peas and pasta way back before Maddux was even born. Ava loved it and was always a neat and tidy bean box player. Maddux is another creature altogether. When he plays with it, whcih is very often, beans get all over the place. My poor vacuum, I could fill a garden if all the beans in my vacuum bag sprouted. :)


And finally, and totally unrelated to the rest of the post, or even the reason I blogged in the first place, a picture of my baby girl and her daddy at the school Princess Dance (which is a modern way of saying "father/daughter dance". They had a blast together. I took some pictures outside, but snapped a photo of the $5 photo they had taken by the PTSA there at the dance. They waited in line for 30 minutes to get this slightly blurry, not-quite-the-right-colors-of-pink photo. I love it. :)
