Doing a little happy dance

Maddux got dressed ALL. BY. HIMSELF. today. Woot! He has never shown any interest whatsoever in getting himself dressed. He doesn't even undress himself very often, except for socks which come off the instant his shoes come off.

Today I was folding the kids laundry. Maddux was nekkid except for his undies. He saw his clean pile of undies and wanted fresh ones. So I casually laid a pair in front of him, right side up and ready-to-go. He took his off, and sat down and without another thought about it pulled the new ones on! I was shocked! I then asked him if he wanted to pick out some pants and a shirt which he did. I tossed him the pants first and said he could put those on just like he did his undies. I expected him to launch into an "I can't do it" fit, but he sat and giggled and did it himself. I then gave him his shirt, and other than helping with a twisted sleeve problem, he did it himself. He was very proud of himself and I was too. Now, if only it continues....

BEDTIME UPDATE
I got out Maddux's pj's and he quickly snatched them from me yelling "I CAN!". Well then, I guess he's taken a liking to dressing himself. hahaha
