Is it really almost July?

I cannot believe today is the last day of June. Wasn't I just taking the kids to school last week? It sure feels that way, but that was 3 weeks ago now for Ava and 5 weeks ago for Maddux!

We've got stuff going on pretty much every couple weeks this summer so I guess that is keeping things moving along. I look forward to and plan for one activity, do it, and then it's on to planning for the next. I guess it's good, but my word is time ever flying!

The kids and I spent all of last week in Ohio at my parents. I'm too lazy to upload pics, they're on Facebook already anyway. :) Maddux and I came home on Saturday. I left Ava there so my mom could take her to Chicago. I'm pretty sure my mom left the contents of her wallet in the American Girl store. LOL That left us with an our "only child" Maddux. He does not make a good only child by-the-way. I think 2nd's are just different. They're not used to ever really being alone so they don't like it. At least that's the way Maddux is! When I've been too busy to play with him, he turned to Ava. He hasn't really gotten good at playing by himself. But yesterday we took him to Kevin's parents. He was pretty excited about going all by himself. I didn't realize how much he was thinking about Ava getting to stay behind and not him. The plan is for Kevin to go get him on Thursday, but if he's happy we might leave him a bit longer.

I am driving back up to Ohio (the Ohio - West Virginia border is the halfway point) to get Ava back tomorrow. My mom and I haven't worked out the details yet, but I know I'll have about 5 hours of alone time in the car. I'm actually kind of excited about it. 5 uninterrupted hours of listening to my own music. Wow. And then the return 5 hours will, I'm sure, be filled up with Ava telling me everything and anything about her trip. I'm looking forward to that too. I've felt like a little bit of me is missing with her all the way up in Chicago/Ohio and me sitting at home.

So on to the next activities... Maddux's 5th b-day is next week so I've got his party to plan for. Kevin and I have dentist appt's. Cammie has a vet appt. I spend Mon, Wed and Fri mornings working and Tues and Thur mornings at the pool. Afternoons disappear quickly too it seems. Then the next week we're going to Myrtle Beach and the next week Ava has camp. Craziness I tell ya! I'm supposed to be finding time for Ava to do a painting class at Cajun Canvas... I need to get on the ball and get it scheduled!

Now if only our house showings would pick up. :)
