Stove Top One-Dish Chicken Skillet
1 1/2 cups hot water
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 pkg (6oz) Stove Top Stuffing mix for chicken
1 1/2 lbs chicken breast
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup light sour cream
Mix hot water, butter and stuffing mix.
Cook chicken in nonstick skillet on med-high 5 min on each side or until browned on both sides.
Mix soup and sour cream; pour over chicken. Top with stuffing; cover. Cook on low heat 10 min or until chicken is done.
I gave this recipe a try last week. I had previously run it by Kevin to see if he'd eat Stove Top stuffing. He said it wasn't his favorite, but he could always push it aside if he didnt' like it.
It's an easy recipe to prepare, and smells pretty good when cooking. I didn't use all the soup/sour cream sauce nor all the stuffing, but I also didn't have 1 1/2 lbs of chicken.
This one got 2 thumbs up from Ava and I, 2 thumbs down from Kevin {{rolleyes}} and Maddux doesn't count since he doesn't like anything these days. :) Kevin said it smelled like something his mom used to make that he didnt' like. good grief this husband of mine is hard to cook for! He scraped all the toppings off and just ate the plain chicken. So, I probably won't be making this one again, but I did want to share it. Enjoy!

Sounds good. Besides, you can't go wrong with anything that has sour cream in it!
