I haven't blogged in quite some time. We've been busy, I've had plenty of things to blog about, it's just finding the time! I don't want to blog until I have the pictures off the camera and organized on the computer, uploaded to the family photosite ( http://avamaddux.shutterfly.com ), etc. With that being said, I haven't done that in forever! I still had photos from early June waiting for me. And now that those things are so far past I don't necessarily feel like blogging about them. :) I am going to try to blog about Maddux's b-day... check back.
For now, I just looked up Ava's school supply list for this year. I typed it up for myself so I can keep track and start shopping! I need to start getting the paper again so I can comb the circulars for the deals.
Anyway, just thought I'd share the shopping list. And while in itself it might not seem too bad, we'll undoubtedly be asked for more after only a few weeks of school and it continues on to the end. Public school might be cheaper than preschool, but it's certainly not free!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it. I don't mind in the slightest helping out the teacher in whatever way possible. And to be truthful, I love buying school supplies!

I was just thinking that I need to get the paper to watch for back to school ads too! I think our list cost me about $100 last year....I definitely need to be better about shopping the sales this year!! You're smart to start watching now.
Wow! Times have changed since I was teaching. We didn't ask for nearly that much stuff. Maybe, b/c we knew we wouldn't get it!!!
I'm surprised they're asking for band-aids and thermometer covers....
We have a list very similar to that one this year for Andrew. Last year at his old school there was hardly anything on there-I guess there was something to be said for going to a Title I school, they get extra funding so we didn't have to buy as much stuff. And what the heck are "pink pearl erasers?" They are on our list and I was completely lost....
Marianne, Pink Pearl erasers are a brand of those traditional pink rectangular erasers.
